My teaching brings together climate, agriculture, food systems, sustainability, and policy through a systems perspective. I encourage students to look beyond individual problems or technical solutions and examine the relationships, feedback, trade-offs, and inequalities that shape how food and agricultural systems respond to change.
My courses combine interdisciplinary scholarship with real-world cases, data, policy analysis, systems thinking, multimedia, and applied learning. Students are encouraged not only to understand complex problems but also to communicate what they learn and consider how knowledge can inform more resilient, sustainable, and equitable food futures.
I approach teaching as an active process of inquiry rather than simply the transmission of information. Students encounter ideas through research, data, case studies, podcasts, stories, visual communication, discussion, and simulation, and then apply them to real-world food and agricultural challenges.
